The voice enters soft at 0:28 over the unchanged groove (It's always around me, all this noise). At 0:39 the title refrain answers — Let it happen, let it happen, with its whispered aside — and the next verse stretch (0:57) swells toward a full refrain return around 1:21. Job: the hook is proven, twice.

A whirlwind couplet (1:42) turns the perspective outward — it's gonna carry off all that isn't bound — into the refrain variant when it happens… I won't be holding on (~1:54–2:08). The final verse (2:08) fights and concedes, with the take-off/apology line carrying past 2:33 and thinning into a trailing falsetto exit by ~3:09.

After the final opening vocal line has thinned and exited, the chord loop stutters and catches like a scratched disc, then recovers and rolls on. No new material arrives — the job here is the wait itself, the groove run long enough that repetition becomes the event.

Around 4:44 a vocoder-like processed voice enters over the still-running groove, gibberish-adjacent at first; a distorted guitar riff leans in around 5:26, and weight gathers through the 5:36 block — I cannot vanish, you will not scare me — with the natural falsetto returning around 6:01. Same pulse, new mouth: the words turn from surrender to refusal as the sound gets heavier.

The refusal block comes back more plainly (6:46), then the coda flips it at 7:10 — Baby, now I'm ready, moving on — worked through twice as the accompaniment eases and breaks apart from ~7:13; the last line lands at 7:46 and the track decays into silence by 7:54. Refusal becomes readiness, and the ending releases rather than cuts.

One groove held for nearly eight minutes; every formal turn belongs to the voice — noise, fight, refusal, readiness — while the rhythm never renegotiates.
