0:00–0:40 — Establishes the command

The track locks into its working pattern in the opening seconds. The wordless vocal around 0:15 widens the opening without changing its job; it sounds like a signal over an already fixed cycle, not a verse yet. When the first German line enters near 0:40, the form narrows into song proper while the instrumental frame keeps moving.

0:52–1:23 — Opens into the chant

The “Incubus / Succubus” refrain enters around 0:52 and returns again near 1:04, making repetition the section’s main function. Here the lyric and music tighten: the names cycle because the accompaniment is already built to cycle. The “Feuer” line at 1:17 gives a brief vocal flare before the text opens outward again.

1:23–2:18 — Extends, delays, reloads

From the “Romanze” line onward, the vocal moves through images and oppositions while the band keeps the same forward contract. The music does not chase each lyric turn; it delays by holding the frame. The refrain at 1:45 reloads the chant, and the demon line near 2:06 pushes back into another refrain at 2:18.

2:18–3:32 — Holds the middle and returns

After the 2:18 refrain, the middle span matters because it continues rather than departs. The track tests the durability of its pattern, then brings the vocal back near 3:08 with the fallen morning star image. The refrain at 3:20 is a quick confirmation, not a new peak, and the next line at 3:32 starts the late verse turn.

3:32–4:22 — Repeats the contract one last time

The text moves “deep below,” but the form keeps driving forward, so lyric direction and musical motion resist each other. “Die Energie der Nacht” at 3:52 lengthens the phrase into a near-refrain of its own, then the 4:10 chant restores the main hook. This is not a bridge; it is the song proving that its earlier materials still govern the ending.

4:22–4:45 — Breaks and lets go

After the final chant, the cycle continues briefly, then starts to come apart around 4:36. The carried pattern releases instead of staging a grand cadence, with the last bits falling away by about 4:43. It ends by stopping the pattern it has kept intact.
