A single voice over a warm drone, and a quick, light pulse settles in beneath it almost at once.

A wind instrument joins under the voice, breathy and soft-edged, moving close beside the vocal line.

The singing folds into chant now, short, even syllables riding the drone.

The chant eases and slows, and the full melody comes back over the same drone.

The wind instrument returns too, back in its old place beside the voice.

And again the voice folds into chant, the same turn as the first time.

A long stretch of the same turning now, chant over drone with that quick pulse underneath, and the music simply holds rather than builds.

Under the voice the bed lightens, drone and pulse easing back a little, and the chant stands more forward in it.

The chant loosens now, slower and softer.

One vocal note lingers, and the drone fades out beneath it.
