Aerith's Theme
"Aerith's Theme" makes remembrance audible without needing words. The title gives the music a human center, but the meaning comes from form: a melody that keeps returning as if it has already survived loss. Tenderness is not used as escape. It is the discipline that keeps the grief bearable enough to hold.
The middle return makes that clearer. After the breath around 2:05, the same melodic shape comes back with more consequence because the listener now knows what it is carrying. The ending does not resolve that weight. It withdraws support in small silences, then leaves the outline behind. The piece means by asking the listener to keep carrying what the music can no longer sound.
