When he sings that the signs say “move ahead,” the arrangement has been saying that too: short guitar hits, drum punctuation, and no extra room to lounge.

The vocal keeps needling this delay, and the groove makes the waiting feel even stranger because everything around it is already moving.

The hook doesn’t open into something huge; it sharpens the same push, with the question landing clean and blunt.

The second verse turns delay into paperwork: a written invitation, a choice, a deadline, all over the same clipped forward drive.

That line about being “raised in limitation” gives the scolding a heavier reason, but the singing still moves quickly through it instead of softening around it.

On the return, the same question has more accumulated irritation behind it; the band stays lean, so repetition does most of the pressing.

The middle section narrows the focus. “Green” hangs out front, and the repeated question feels more exposed than before.

That plain warning, “you choose last,” almost sounds comic because the track has been making the same argument with rhythm for two and a half minutes.

The command finally turns into one syllable: “Go.” The riff and drums return to the established forward snap rather than dressing it up as a new scene.

The arrangement starts to ease back, but the voice keeps pushing the question a little longer, as if stopping without an answer is part of the point.
