Cypress Hill
Dr. Greenthumb
"Dr. Greenthumb" turns cannabis cultivation into a character business. The joke is obvious: the doctor has a name, a pitch, a method, and an absurd customer-service aura. The sharper meaning is that the business exists under constant watching. Fields, helicopters, police, neighbors, doors, warrants, and permits keep pressing against the sales routine, while the beat makes that attention sound routine instead of exceptional. B-Real's alter ego keeps advertising himself because the name is useful: it turns risk into persona, craft into performance, and illegal work into something that can be repeated like a jingle.
The result is fun without becoming weightless. The track laughs through its science-coat costume, but the laugh keeps bumping into enforcement. "Dr. Greenthumb" means survival by branding: if the operation has to be watched, raided, smelled, and talked about, it may as well turn itself into the loudest sign in the room.
